Christian Lacroix Drawings Now Available

Christian Lacroix is one of the most fêted fashion designers of our time, so it is a great honour and a considerable pleasure for FIG to be able to present a small group of his drawings to the gallery’s growing audience of collectors and fashion illustration aficionados.

Articulated with the deft touch of an exceptional draughtsman, these works sit somewhere between design drawing and illustration. They reflect the magic of Lacroix’s talent and the playful inventiveness of his genius.

The drawings are annotated research works, made between 2000 and 2021, that derive from a restless imagination and an intensive and ongoing creative enquiry into the possibilities of fabric, form and fashion.
