FIG is delighted to present Figure / FIGA 13 an online auction of new works on paper, specially commissioned for the sale. FIG artists are joined for the first time by English artist Peter Turner, Russian /Jordanian artist from Dubai, Randa Haddadin and Jessica Durrant from Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Turner’s delicately rendered life drawings in pencil on paper are as much to do with what he leaves out as what he draws in. His lines are precise and perfectly placed. Turner left CSM for Paris before heading to NY for a design job with Calvin Klein. He’s now back in Blighty.
Randa Haddadin’s drawings reflect a world of glamour, romance and mystery. Reflecting a cinematic sensibility and aesthetic they are executed with a painterly confidence that possesses a remarkable lightness of touch.
Jessica Durrant is a freelance fashion illustrator whose enviable list of clients include Vogue, Harper’s, Chanel and Oscar de la Renta. An amalgamation of contemporary influences, Durrant’s watercolour on paper works articulate a passing mood and passing moment.
