The A/W 2021 International RTW Collections / FIGA 17
The AW21 Collections / FIGA 17
If you haven’t heard us make our case before, lean in and listen carefully.
We are bringing to market original works of art made by some of the leading image makers working in fashion today. The drawings, paintings and collages made by these artists are wonderful works of art in their own right and a growing number of collectors are building world class, museum quality collections that are a significant cultural asset and investment. By starting all lots at £75 we are creating fantastic opportunities for a great many people to participate in our auctions and take possession of a living breathing hand crafted work of art.
Fashion has taken a battering but it’s still alive and kicking and our artists have been hard at work creating imagery that celebrates the brightest and the best. Joining for the first time, our stellar cast of talent, is Iren Kompus a graduate from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1997. We introduce her with four drawings in black ink on paper, three of which are coloured with one of the primary colours. She has featured Balenciaga, Fendi and Edeline Lee. There is a something a little bit quirky to her aesthetic thats adds charm and appeal.
Highlights also include Wilfrid Wood’s first ever fashion drawings – a sight to behold, a single work by the brilliant Hiroshi Tanabe and a body of work by Jessica Bird that marks her out as one of a new generation of fashion illustrators winning admirers and gaining a claim.
